VideoPromptGen’s core tool distinguishes between two kinds of results: a disclosed prompt (the creator’s own words, found in a video’s description or comments) and a reconstructed prompt (an AI’s best-effort guess based only on what’s visible in the video).
Reconstructed prompts are AI-generated and are not guaranteed to be accurate. They describe what a vision model perceives in a still frame or thumbnail — subject, framing, color, mood, setting — and deliberately avoid inventing technical details (like camera or lens) that cannot actually be determined from an image. No tool, including this one, can recover an exact original prompt from a finished video. Treat reconstructed results as a starting point for your own experimentation, not a verified fact about how a video was made.
